Description

MOBILE Engineer is an engineering software application for designing and configuring vehicle applications. MOBILE Starter is the free, streamlined version focused on commissioning and service.

MOBILE Engineer is based on SDT Explorer and is backward compatible with existing files.


System requirements
  • Windows 10 / Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • Intel processor, 2.5 GHz or higher, 4 GB RAM
  • 1 GB available disk space
  • Minimum screen resolution: 1024 × 768
  • .NET Framework 4.7 (installed if required)

Licensing

MOBILE Engineer can be evaluated free of charge for 30 days. The license is valid for all versions and expires after 30 days regardless of usage. A paid license is required thereafter. To order a license, please contact us.


Installation
  1. Download and extract the ZIP file
  2. Run the setup file (Starter or Engineer)
  3. Follow the installation instructions

Note: The Sentinel HASP Runtime Installer may be required for licensing. https://supportportal.gemalto.com


MOBILE Engineer/Panels

MOBILE Engineer can be expanded with MOBILE Panels, for example for:

  • Firmware download
  • Parameter configuration and diagnostics
  • Device identification
Notes:

The MOBILE Panels are always tied to a specific version of the MOBILE firmware.

  • Administrator rights are required for installation.
  • MOBILE Engineer: Single-user license (includes the open-source components IronPython and FireEdit)
  • MOBILE Starter: Reduced feature set (includes the open-source components IronPython and FireEdit)
