Under the name Schmidhauser AG, the company developed some of its first electric mobility solutions, including work carried out as part of the TWIKE project. This pioneering work laid the foundation for extensive expertise in power electronics for mobile applications.

From 2006 onwards, the business unit became part of the Lenze Group, where it continued to develop high-performance inverter and converter solutions for commercial vehicles and mobile machinery. With the introduction of the product platform MOBILE , a modular product portfolio was created that can be flexibly adapted to a wide range of applications and customer requirements.

In 2021, Mobile Drives became part of Bucher Hydraulics. This strategically expanded Bucher Hydraulics portfolio with expertise in mobile electric drive technology and strengthened its position in electrification and electrohydraulic system solutions. Today, we develop innovative power electronics, software, and system solutions for mobile applications at our location in Romanshorn and continue to advance the development of our products.
